I am a statistician, researcher, project manager, writer, designer, and ski bum. I can compose music but rarely do it. I still own a trampoline and use it often.
I grew up in Wyoming and Alabama and have lived in New York and Colorado in the years since. I am polite, composed, feisty, and fierce all at once thanks to my varied roots.
I believe we should continually strive to understand the meaning of life and our purpose in it.
I don't believe in taking heroes at face value. I believe a person's heroes should be looked at for their strengths and flaws and that we should strive to instill the best parts of them in ourselves. That said, my heroes are my grandfather Carl Mitchell, the late Mike Roberts, and the mountaineer Ed Visteurs. My taller half and my mother aren't bad role models either!
Finally, I believe that animals and the earth itself are as important as—or more realistically—more important than people. I don't believe anyone who tries to tell me otherwise.
