Emily is a renewable energy, climate, and weather professional with extensive communications, statistical, scientific and environmental experience. She combines degrees in statistics, journalism, and environmental science with more than 15 years of experience with diverse environmental and communications organizations, including the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the University of Colorado Environmental Center, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Denver Business Journal, and SKI Magazine. 

Emily conducts both quantitative and qualitative data analysis and is proficient in SAS, R, and SPSS. She's provided data management and strategy for large-scale databases and data projects, and project management for large, interdisciplinary weather and climate projects. She is skilled at bridging the gap between research and policy and at translating scientific information into understandable, usable information to effect positive market change.

Emily holds an M.S. in Applied Statistics and Research Methods from the University of Northern Colorado, an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Rochester. While at Rochester, Emily completed minors in Philosophy and Journalism and a cluster in Political Science focused on International Relations.
